How Google Got its Colorful Logo

It has always been a question of mine. Who designed Google’s logo? Also I’ve thought to myself what type of font did he/she use. Finally the cat is out of the bag and Wired magazine had an interview with Ruth Kedar, the graphic designer who developed the now-famous logo. It’s always cool […]

Single Most Creative Dance Move

In the history of man, the single most creative dance move ever is Michael Jackson doing the Moonwalk. He was the originator and will always be able to do it better than anyone.
If you disagree, please let it be known what dance move is better than the Moonwalk.

Beautiful Minds: Stephen Wiltshire

It is simply amazing what people can do. Stephen is autistic. His first words “pencil” and “paper” when he was 5 years old. Amazingly, when he was 11 he drew an unbelievably near perfect aerial view of London after one helicopter ride. He had only three days to complete the drawing.

Font Website Newsletters

Keeping up with typography through font websites are a great way stay current on the latest trends. I am not going to promote one over the other, but a few of my favorites such as Myfonts and Fontshop are my two picks.

Manipulating Fonts

As you know I’m fairly new to graphic(print) design. However, posters are and still will be one of the most visually stimulating for me. I’ve found them to be entertaining in message, color, and various elements. In this case, I would like to find out more of how he actually manipulated the […]

Bearskinrug Sabbatical

Illustrator Kevin Cornell is taking a sabbatical to decompress. His weekly illustrations will be greatly missed. I’m a frequent lurker. I should have commented on his site when I had the chance. Stage fright is a mickey.

Done Jbunti Daily Sketches

I want to be just like this guy. Done is the online sketchbook of the gifted and talented Jonas Buntenbruch from Kassel, Germany. Jonas’s site is a daily design workout as he calls it. It will be interesting to see what he produce daily over the year. Plus his website is […]

Bookshelf Stairs

Right when I thought I’ve seen it all…some genius goes and create a bookshelf out of stairs. Why couldn’t I have thought of that? Either I’m too busy thinking too much on thinking that I’m not thinking. (play on words)
O well. This is via Design Milk, via Apartment Therapy.

Vintage Collage of Posters

There are a few things, in my case, provides inspiration. Vintage posters that have a retro type feel does the do for me. I wish (someday) that I will be able to create old vintage, retro style logos for myself or personal projects.
I do apologize…I forgot where I got this image. If […]
